Senior Asset Accounting Process Expert

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- participation in the SAP 4/Hana Digital Finance implementation project (LUCA) targeted to unify METRO SAP FI systems globally
- responsible for all R2R functional project tasks for General Ledger, especially around Fixed Assets
- responsibility for design of accounting and reporting of Fixed Assets in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
- ensuring correctness of postings in the Fixed Asset subledger and alignment with the General Ledger
- ensuring cross-project cooperation to support E2E CAPEX flow
- responsible for system testing and coordination of proper defect resolution by implementation partner
- participation in system and process improvement initiatives, including testing and implementation of SAP solutions related to Fixed Assets
- supporting audit processes (internal and external) and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards
Skill set & experience profile:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent education
- Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience in accounting, with strong expertise in Fixed Assets
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP in the area of fixed assets and CAPEX
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Excel and solid knowledge of SAP
- Experience in process improvements or participation in finance transformation projects will be an advantage
- Advanced English skills, both written and spoken
- Openness to learning and mentoring junior colleagues
