Overview
The main objective of LUCA program is to successfully upgrade METRO’s Finance to SAP S/4HANA to ensure business continuity and avoid security and compliance risks. The LUCA program is, in addition, a critical enabler of METRO’s strategy to achieve standardization, harmonization, and centralization.
Within the LUCA program, the Integration Specialist is a specialized role focusing on supporting the design, configuration, and implementation of integration strategies across multiple systems and modules within the S/4HANA landscape. He/she would need to ensure seamless data flow and process integration between S/4HANA and other SAP/non-SAP systems. It entails collaboration with METRO.digital, LUCA program functional, and technical teams to develop integration scenarios, including data migration, interfaces, and middleware, and sharing industry best practices to enable state-of-art system integration capabilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, configuration, and implementation of integration strategies across the S/4HANA landscape, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and non-SAP systems
- Work closely with Metro.digital, LUCA Program functional, and technical teams to define integration requirements and ensure alignment with business processes and technical capabilities
- Develop and manage integration scenarios for data migration, system interfaces, and middleware integration, ensuring end-to-end process automation
- Oversee the implementation and configuration of middleware solutions to facilitate smooth communication between systems
- Share industry best practices for system integration, providing guidance and training to internal teams on methodologies, tools, and integration standards
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of integration-related issues, minimizing disruptions and ensuring business continuity
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, configurations
- Manage integration projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery, scope management, and clear communication with stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and explore new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of the curve in system integration capabilities
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4HANA or related SAP certifications
- Experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or other middleware integration tools
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration with both SAP and non-SAP systems
- Familiarity with API Management, web services (SOAP/REST), and IDoc protocols
- 5+ years of experience in SAP integration and leading large-scale projects
- In-depth knowledge of business processes in finance and indirect procurement
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills in English
- Ability to travel is required (around 20-25% of working time)
