Overview
The main objective of LUCA program is to successfully upgrade METRO’s Finance to SAP S/4HANA to ensure business continuity and avoid security and compliance risks. The LUCA program is, in addition, a critical enabler of METRO’s strategy to achieve standardization, harmonization, and centralization.
Within the LUCA program, the SAP Master Data Governance for Finance (MDG-F) Specialist focuses on master data aspects, ensuring quality, adherence to established naming conventions, proper usage, and timely creation. This role requires a deep understanding of master data used in SAP FI-CO, combined with experience in implementing new solutions in a project environment and the ability to align these solutions with the organization's financial strategies and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary contact for all MDG-F-related issues and questions from the Digital Finance implementation partner and METRO colleagues
- Involvement in the implementation of Master Data Governance for Finance in SAP S/4HANA
- Collaboration on integrative project activities related to SAP FI and SAP CO modules
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with quality audits and governance requirements
- Cooperation with the Digital Finance PMO, including cross-checking project documents
- Support process leads and owners by providing insights into architectural decisions and their alignment with business needs
- Ensure architectural governance by enforcing adherence to SAP standards, design principles, and best practices
- Provide ongoing support to address post-go-live issues and stabilize the solution
- Identify opportunities for process and system optimization based on business feedback
Qualification and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business economics or equivalent education, combined with solid knowledge in Financial Accounting
- Professional SAP Expertise: Experienced Knowledge in the business area of Master Data Governance in Finance. 5 years experience in SAP plus experience in one of the following SAP modules – MDG, FI/CO or Maintenance of Finance Master Data
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of the organization and external partners
- Certifications: Finance-related SAP Certifications are advantageous
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail industry is preferred to tailor SAP solutions effectively
- Languages: Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Travel: Ability to travel is required (around 20-25% of working time)
